    1. For information on other schools in Saanichton you could contact the Saanich Pioneer Society. I believe Mt. Newton colors were gold and blue.

I hope I understood your question correctly. Our interest is mainly about people who lined in Royal Oak and went to school at Royal Oak. Many of us were bussed to other schools at various times.

      Thanks for commenting.

  3. Daryl,
Could you direct me to anyone who might have late 60's Mt. Newton class photos. Even though I was from Brentwood Bay back in the day I did enjoy navigating the site. Lots of time and effort. Well done!

    1. I'll put your question to the group at our next meeting in mid January. Most of our group were there in the 1950's so there may be no result. May I ask what is your connection?. Daryl

    4. Yes, Mt. Newton Jr. High's colours were definitely Gold and Blue! One of the Teachers wrote a "School Song" about it in 1965. "Here's to Mt. Newton! To the dear old Gold and Blue! Here's to Mt. Newton we will always be true to you! Rah Rah Rah! It was not a great song, but it was a start! I went there until 1966. Linda
